North Country Spectator, Crew and Pacer Info

Details: This is the first year that North Country will officially be allowing pacers for the 50 mile ultra runners. We only ask that you follow the directions below on how to get to your spots and that you take in consideration that all routes are either dirt roads or two track trails. No vehicles that are not equipped with 4-wheel drive or can not handle soft sand will be allowed to go to the following points.

Spectators: Because of limited parking if you are spectator please try to car pool with other spectators when driving out to these points. Also ensure you are following the spectator map that shows that not all spectator points are for the half marathon and not all are for the ultra and marathon.

Crew and Pacers: There are 5 spots to crew your runner that are spread fairly evenly throughout the course. Pacers may only be used on the second loop (25-mile or more). The blue stars located on the spectator/crew/pacer map show where you can meet your runner and begin pacing them. The distances are also listed and at each of these points on the map are an aid station so you will be able to join your runner when he/she stops at the aid station. You may use up to 5 pacers BUT only one pacer at a time is allowed to run with the runner.
